ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are a growing wireless Internet Service Provider (ISP) with a focus on delivering reliable and high-speed connectivity. Our operations depend on cutting-edge network technologies including Juniper routers and switches, MikroTik routers, and radio links from vendors like Siklu, SIAE, and Ubiquiti. We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented individual to join our team and manage the setup, programming, and organization of our network equipment before deployment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and prepare networking equipment for deployment (install rack ears, attach antennas to radio links, etc.).
  • Program Juniper and MikroTik network devices (routers, switches) based on provided configurations.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of network equipment in preparation for deployment.
  • Handle RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorizations) from field operations, coordinate with vendors for warranty replacements, and liaise with warehouse staff for proper equipment disposal.
  • Perform basic network configuration tasks, including applying configurations and testing devices.
  • Maintain documentation and records of the equipment status, configurations, and RMA processes.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of equipment to field technicians.

Required Qualifications:

  • Basic Knowledge of TCP/IP: Understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, and basic networking concepts.
  • Experience with Network Equipment: Familiarity with programming and handling Juniper, MikroTik routers, and switches. Experience with Siklu, SIAE, or Ubiquiti radio links is a plus.
  • Technical Assembly Skills: Ability to physically set up networking devices, including installing rack equipment and connecting antennas to radios.
  • Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to maintain equipment lists, and organize deployment schedules. Experience with other Office tools like Word and Outlook is also essential.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage and track equipment across multiple projects.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues with devices before deployment and effectively communicate with vendors for RMAs and warranties.

Nice-to Have:

  • Prior experience in a wireless ISP or telecommunications environment.
  • Familiarity with radio link technology, including point-to-point and point-to-multipoint configurations.
  • Basic understanding of network automation or scripting (e.g., for automating equipment provisioning).

Compensation:

  • Salary up to $45,000 depending on experience and skillset
