Role Overview
The Senior Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of the company’s financial operations. This position is responsible for overseeing core accounting functions, including general ledger management, financial reporting, account reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and audit support. Working closely with leadership, department heads, FP&A, and external auditors, the Senior Accountant provides meaningful financial insights that support business decision-making and organizational growth.
This role also serves as a strategic partner in process improvement initiatives, budgeting and forecasting activities, acquisition integration efforts, and the development of junior accounting staff. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and is committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy, accountability, and collaboration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Be the sentinel of the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliation, supporting schedules and adjustments.
- Prepare consolidated monthly financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.
- Assist in preparation of board of director and investor presentations.
- Prepare department budget variance reports and discuss financials with department heads.
- Work closely with our external auditors on year end audit process and ongoing transactions
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiencies.
- Collaborate with FP&A with budgets and reforecasts.
- Mentor and develop junior accounting team
- Ensure compliance with company internal controls and policies.
- Prepare and distribute a 13-week cash flow forecast weekly.
- Partner with our Corporate Controller for acquisitions integration.
- Tackle those intriguing ad hoc report requests.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 3-5 years’ experience in an accounting role
- CPA a plus
- Purchase accounting or experience integrating acquisitions a plus
- ERP software experience strongly preferred.
- Accounting system implementation experience a plus

- Self-motivated, detail-oriented and organized with the ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines.
Compensation
- Salary: $90-100K annually + Bonus Opportunities

Schedule
- Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm
- This is a hybrid position that offers work from home flexibility. We are open to out-of-state candidates. For Chicago or LA area candidates, you are welcome to join us at our HQ. The accounting and finance team currently meets in person one day per week.
